Tour of India
India – 5 teams from 3 different counties have recently explored the Golden Triangle of India, one of the most intriguing and populous countries in the world. In addition to playing several exciting matches and visiting some famous stadiums, they enjoyed a variety of other activities whilst visiting the unique cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
One of the highlights during their stay in Agra was of course the visit to the spectacular Taj Mahal. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taj Mahal is considered to be one of the most romantic destinations in the world and certainly provided the perfect backdrop for the many ‘selfies’!
Jaipur known as the ‘Pink City’ due to its dominant colour scheme of its buildings is perhaps one of the most colourful cities of India. Here, the teams visited a traditional village, spent time with elephants and camels and even enjoyed a Bollywood themed dinner.
The express train ride to Delhi was certainly an education of what ‘crowded’ really means. Once there, they experienced the unique smells and sounds together with the hustle and bustle of this wonderfully chaotic city. Dodging the carts and rickshaws amongst the honking and beeping, they explored the city’s streets and alleys, visited the busy markets and bizarre as well as the historic Red Fort. They even ventured on bicycles to tour Old Delhi.
