YOUR BOOKING WITH LIONS SPORTS TRAVEL
Your booking agreement is with Barefoot Traveller Ltd, trading as Lions Sports Travel of registered office; Albany Chambers, 26 Bridge Road East Welwyn Garden City AL7 1HL and registered number 3678086.
You will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of £400 per person at the time of booking and the balance payment should be made 12 weeks prior to departure. Deposit amount can vary in circumstances such as upgrades or extension of stay or any other alterations in the tour itinerary.
Payment mode: Bank transfer, credit or debit card are accepted. For more information, please refer under our booking terms and conditions.
Upon receipt of the completed booking form a confirmation invoice will be sent electronically to obtain the payment.
100% FINANCIAL SECURITY
The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 require us to provide security for the monies that you pay for the package holidays booked from us and for your repatriation in the event of our insolvency.
We will provide you with financial protection for any ATOL protected air package or flight that you buy from us by way of our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number 10574, administered by the Civil Aviation Authority (‘CAA’). When you buy an ATOL protected air package or flight from us you will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists the flight, accommodation, car hire and/or other services that are financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
To confirm a booking, Lions Sports Travel would require an online booking form to be completed by the lead passenger, parent or guardian accepting our offer, quoted price and terms and conditions. Upon which, Lions Sports Travel would send a confirmation invoice to obtain a non-refundable deposit of £400 per person to finalise the tour arrangements. The price of the sports tour is based on a minimum tour numbers. If the respective team does not meet the minimum numbers, Lions Sports Travel has the right to cancel your tour arrangements or after discussion with the relevant management body, we would offer an updated price for the same tour or offer an alternative tour itinerary. The remaining balance is required 12 weeks prior to your departure. NOTE: Deposits are non-refundable and if balance is not paid when it is due, Lion’s Sports Travel will treat your booking as cancelled and charge a cancellation fee in addition to the deposit already paid. As soon as the balance payment is received .i.e. 12 weeks prior to departure, Lion’s Sports Travel will send you an email requesting for the following information that should reach us a minimum of 10 weeks prior to departure.
a) Where required information from the passport biometric page
b) Any medical / dietary requirements / assistance pertaining to travel
c) Personal information of the passenger if a visa application to be processed by Lions Sports Travel
d) Completion of Medical / Photography Consent Forms
A comprehensive set of travel documents including flight e-tickets, tour itinerary, visa confirmation (where applicable), a set of emergency contact numbers, log-in credentials to Lions Sports App, etc. will be sent you via email 3 weeks prior to departure.
Whilst Lions Sports Travel ensures that the price quoted remain unchanged, we reserve the right to make adjustments based on currency fluctuations, airport / hotel / local tourism authority tax increases, fuel surcharges, scheduled airfare changes and any government action such as increase of visa fee, entrance fees (tourist sites), etc. You will be notified of any price increase due to these circumstances and offer an option to make an early settlement to avoid paying the supplement or the additional amount to be added to the balance payment. Surcharges up to 2% will be absorbed by Lion’s Sports Travel. If the surcharge is greater than 10% you are entitled to cancel your booking (within 14 days of revised invoice) and receive a full refund on monies paid to us or book another tour with Lion’s Sports Travel. Surcharges will not be levied after the full payment is received i.e.12 weeks prior to departure of your tour. The price of your tour includes £2.50 per person for the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) paid to the CAA.
A. DEPOSIT STAGE
All deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
B. REMAINING BALANCE STAGE
The remaining balance is required 12 weeks prior to departure. If you wish to cancel the tour, the following charges will apply. Lion’s Sports Travel reserves the right to cancel any booking, where payment is not received on time.
- 83 – 55 days prior to departure 50% of the tour price
- 54 – 31 days prior to departure 75% of the tour price
- 30 – 0 days prior to departure 100% of the tour price
ALTERATION OR CANCELLATION BY YOU
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking you must contact us in writing. To cover the cost of administration and the possibility that Lion’s Sports Travel will be charged full cancellation charges by the airline concerned, Lion’s Sports Travel have to make a cancellation charge. If you have purchased insurance you may be able to claim for the charges imposed. The cancellation charges are based on the number of days’ notice before departure that you advise us of the cancellation. Contact Lion’s Sports Travel who will advise you of the cancellation charges. For alterations, which will be made where possible Lion’s Sports Travel will impose a £100.00 admin fee per change, unless otherwise stated.
ALTERATIONS BY LIONS SPORTS TRAVEL
In the event of Lions Sports Travel having to alter, amend or cancel the tour arrangements on or before the date balance is due, you will be offered a choice of an alternative tour at least comparable to the standard you booked. If this is not acceptable the company will refund you in full. We will not cancel your travel arrangements less than 12 weeks before your departure date, except for reasons of force majeure, which covers events such as, but not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, pandemic disease, industrial or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. Further, carriers such as airlines may be subject to change and Lions Sports Travel cannot be held responsible for any delays, schedule changes or cancellations made by the airlines
TIDINESS AND DAMAGE
All guests are required to leave their accommodation and all fixtures and fittings and effects in good order and should inform Lion’s Sports Travel or the local representative of any damage, or its contents during residence.
Lion’s Sports Travel cannot be responsible for matches being cancelled due to weather conditions, force majeure or injuries to the teams. Lion’s Sports Travel will endeavour to reschedule matches where possible.
Fixtures including the time / duration are subject to change based on the grounds conditions or a local team’s availability. However, Lions Sports Travel will ensure that an alternative venue and an opposition will be made available on the same match day or make slight alterations during the tour, so that there will be no disruption for the scheduled fixture.
RECOMMENDATION OF SUPPLIERS
Lion’s Sports Travel will willingly offer our recommendations on reputable suppliers locally in each destination such as car rental companies, however, please note the agreement and terms of conditions will be between the client and supplier. Lion’s Sports Travel will not be liable for any disputes or disagreements between the two parties.
Whilst we provide every assistance within our capabilities, we hold no responsibility for inconvenience or loss caused by strikes, weather, increase in accommodation rates, terrorist activities, war, technical problems with transportation or alteration in scheduled services. Nor can we be held responsible for the temporary closure of any hotel facilities, compensation for personal injury while on tour, or for the cancellation of your tour.
Lion’s Sports Travel will do its best endeavour to ensure that the information circulated in respect of each property is accurate and keep up to date in accordance with the published information held on the website and or transmitted in the form of either a brochure or correspondence. Where possible, all recommend properties are visited regularly by a representative of Lion’s Sports Travel to ensure standards are maintained. Lion’s Sports Travel does not accept any responsibility for the inaccuracy of any information supplied to them by either the supplier or their representative.
Please note that selected accommodation options may require a security deposit, in the case of covering the cost of replacing any items, which have been damaged or broken by guests whilst in residence, or for incidentals such as overseas calls or fax calls.
If you have a complaint or any problems whilst on tour, it is the tour leader / manager’s responsibility to inform the local representatives of Lion’s Sports Travel as soon as possible, so that remedial action can be taken. If the local representative is not available or is not able to resolve the matter, the guest should then contact Lion’s Sports Travel at the UK Office within 48 hours of the problem arising. Lion’s Sports Travel will endeavour to do everything possible to assist their clients. Complaints should be sent in writing to the office within 2 weeks of departure. If guests do not follow this complaints procedure, thereby depriving Lion’s Sports Travel of the opportunity to investigate and rectify the problem, the company cannot accept any responsibility for any claim.
In the event that any dispute of difference shall arise between you and Lion’s Sports Travel, which is not resolved speedily and amicably between both parties, the matter in dispute shall be resolved by arbitration in the local destination in accordance with the relevant law’s applicable to that destination.
We strongly recommend you are adequately insured, Lion’s Sports Travel will not accept responsibility or liability for you not being insured.
Passports / Vaccinations / Visas / Travel Advice
All passengers must be in possession of a valid 10 year passport with a minimum of six months remaining validity from return date. For most of the destinations we feature, European Union passport holders do not require visas.
It is the responsibility of the traveller to check with the relevant embassy or consulate of the country you are visiting to check necessary documentation. Travellers must also conform to the health regulations regarding vaccinations to your chosen destination/s. Up to date advice can be obtained from your GP. Travel safe – know before you go.
